How things get built here
There is no account to make and no server to sign in to. What an app records stays on your iPhone and is backed up with it. No analytics, no crash reporting, nothing sold to anyone.
Recording something should not depend on remembering to record it. Where a phone can notice on its own, it should — and when it gets one wrong, fixing it by hand should take seconds.
Every app exports everything it holds, in a form you can open somewhere else. The difference between a limit and a hostage is whether you can walk away with your data.
